Auditioning for the BC Music Educators’ Association honour ensembles is a great goal, and being chosen to perform in one of the ensembles is an invaluable experience for any high school musician! The BCMEA Honour Ensembles include Concert Band (Wind Ensemble), Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz, and String Orchestra. You must fill out an online application and submit recordings of yourself to the website by early April. Students all across the privicne will be selected to perform at the annual BCMEA Conference on the October provincial pro-d day. And, you will work with a professional conductor/music educator for a few days before putting on the performance.
